In this online course the main focus was on learning about and understanding instructional applications of technology. We started the process of communicating within our MAET community, building a personal learning network (PLN), and explore the benefits of online collaboration. Some major assignments in this course included a personal learning plan that grew throughout the semester on a weekly basis, worked on a project on a specific area of interest to our work as a classroom teacher (SIG) and collected resources to further our knowledge on this special interest.
Personal Learning Network Visualization
To begin the class, I was asked to create a visual diagram of my personal learning network. The great outcome from this assignment was how much it continued to grow from the beginning of the program to the end. If I were to update this visual two years after I made it, it would be much larger and more detailed.
Personal Growth Plan
A continued reflection throughout the class of our work in the class. This Google Document served as an excellent point of reflection during the class and served as an artifact of growth from the beginning of the program to the end.
A presentation created at the end of the class to synthesize and highlight the learning process in the class and our personal growth throughout.
Special Interest Group Project
In this Special Interest Group (SIG) project a collection of colleagues attempted to do research and prepare effective lessons to implement using the flipped classroom model. As a group, we did general research on the flipped classroom and then applied that information to our individual subject areas.
