Career Focus
To incorporate all aspects of the Social Studies, including History, Geography, Government and Economics into an informative high school classroom setting through the use of differentiated instruction. In addition to my educational goals, I am looking for involvement in extracurricular activities such as student government and athletics to stress the importance of dedication and leadership to adolescents.

- Complete certification in all Social Studies subjects for grades 7-12 (Michigan RX Endorsement).
- Praxis certification in grades 7-12.

- Facilitate diverse classroom discussions, activities, and assessments in World History classrooms on a daily basis.
- Create and design unique electives that are planned, organized, and implemented independently. These electives include Post-1800 African History, Ancient Rome, Comparative Government, Human Geography, and American Government.
- Introduce classroom assessments that rely heavily on independent research and exploration and require a project-based approach from students in the class.
Extra-curricular leadership
- Supervising class elections at Cass Technical and University Liggett High School.
- Evaluate the potential candidates through primaries and interviews to assess each student’s qualities as a leader and speaker
- Host and Emcee the election formats by addressing a large audience.
- Supervised student planning for various school functions including spirit week, school dances, special assemblies, and regularly scheduled meetings.
- Developed a new election system that incorporated student questions and replaced traditional candidate speeches with an open forum that created greater student involvement in selecting candidates.
ATHLETIC LEADERSHIP
- Work independently and collectively with student athletes to develop their skills and understanding of the sport.
- Organize team functions, practices, and games including transportation, creating line-ups, and instructing players.
- Serve as the Varsity Hockey Assistant/Goalie Coach for the 2012 MHSAA Division III state hockey champions.
